On-boarding Rules & Regulations

• Hostel Fee payment is to be made online, hostel admin team will share the link with the parents. Once the payment is made, the same will be confirmed by thehostel admin team. Post verification of the payment receipt, a bed will be allotted under the name and the details of the allotment will be shared by the hostel team.
• Onboarding will start 6 days before the commencement of respective program.
• KYC completion would be required –Aadhar card, parents’ Aadhar card, passport size photograph, undertakings, medical clearance certificate, native address would be required at thetime of onboarding.

Bus allotment policy

• Bus allotment will be done considering slot time of the program communicated by the University.
• The bus schedule will be given to the students upon joining the hostel.

Common area/Reading room/Games

• All common area / recreational areas except reading rooms will be closed post 9pm. Damage / breakage / theft of any assets or articles in the said area during the usable times will be recovered from the students in that session.
• TT table and snooker –Students need to bring their own rackets and TT balls to play. Damage or misplacement to any of the assets after the session to be recovered from the students in that session.
• Board games– Will be provided by the warden for each session. Damage or misplacement to any of the board games or items in games after the session to be recovered from the students in that session.

Washing Machine Policy

• Use of washing machine is allowed only for the washing of regular clothes / under garments. For washing the other clothes, it will be counted as misuse of the facility.
• Penalties will be used for the misuse of washing machines.

Noise policy

• No use of speakers, mobile phones with loudspeakers, TV is allowed with sound range above 45 (decibels). which could disturb roommates, neighbors and hostel staff
• Any instance of such nature would result in penalties with amount up to Rs 10,000/-

Notice board policy

• Contents, notices on notice boards to be placed only by the hostel authorities and not students.
• Any misplacement or damage, illicit posters, religious sayings or fixing notices from students end on common notice boards would impose penalties up to Rs 500.

Attendance of students in hostel

• Entries will be taken from students for attendance in morning and night.
• Attendance of the students in the hostel will be taken strictly twice every day.
• Anyone entering the property after 9 pm without prior information will be deemed as a late comer
• The late comer will have to sign in a separate register
• Regular occurrences of late arrivals in the night time may invite disciplinary action
• In time at hostels will be from 6 am to 9pm.

Fine for late comers

• Late comers on or after 9 pm given any day of time, except those permitted by the hostel dean / supervisors / agents will be liable to pay a fine of Rs. 1,000/- per delay.
• If the delay continues for a period more than 3 day consecutive days then the parents of late comers will be informed about the same.
• If any late comer signs or tries to sign on behalf of any another hostel students, then the latecomer as well as the student who signs on behalf of the late comer will be fined which shall amount to Rs.1,500/-
• Fine collected would be used towards student related activities.

Use of Electronic / Electric items, Furniture

• Fixtures: Students shall NOT bring any extra electrical gadgets which require charging or consume power other than fixtures in the room (apart from mobile chargers / laptop chargers).
• Damage to Electronic / Electric Items, Furniture: During the tenure of student accommodation,the students shall take due and adequate care of the Electronic / Electric Items, Furniture provided by the hostel, that any damage to such property of the hostel will be recoverable fromthe students at actual costs.
• Interchange of Furniture / Fixture: Students shall not interchange any furniture / fixture from one point / Location in the hostel to another. Besides a penal recovery, students involved shall be expelled
• Assets in Common Areas / Corridors: Theft / damages to hostel assets in common areas / corridors shall be recovered from all students of the flank / wing involved
• In case of theft / damage to items that pertain to usage by the complete hostel, the recoveries shall be made from all the occupants of the hostel.

Room policy

If any damage to assets in the room (Bed, mattress, study table, chair, wardrobe, wardrobe lock, main door, main door lock, sink, washroom, flush, etc.) occurs because of misuse of the student then the students in that particular room will be liable to pay the charges required for repair and maintenance.

If any damage to assets in breakout zone occurs then the students on that particular floor will be liable to pay the charges required for repairing No student is allowed to open the balconies in the rooms. If done, the students of the room will be fined appropriately and the doors will be relocked. Also the repairing cost to be further borne by the student.
